The theme for the 2015 NY Pet Fashion Show was “Rescue Revolution.” With loads of fashion, music, and attitude, this year’s show was a tribute to the 60s and 70s fashion with a focus on peace, love, and animal rescue. It took place at Hotel Pennsylvania during Fashion Week in efforts to raise donations for The Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals. They have 150 Rescue and Alliance partners, so many animals will benefit from all the donations.
Three events took place at the show: A Rescue Revolution Runway Show, a Designer Couture Retro Runway Show, and a Community Show called The Best in Show Costume Contest.
Thursday night’s bright lights brought to the catwalk more than just humans. Amongst all the dogs dressed to impress, there were cats, chickens, and even a bearded dragon showcasing their individual styles and fashion.

Couture designer Anthony Rubio was last year’s Designer of the Year winner. No longer feeling the need to compete, he chose to watch and enjoy this year’s events with his two beloved Chihuahuas, Bogie and Kimba. The three were decked out in brightly colored Sergeant Pepper’s era Beatles creations.
Supermodel Kristy Hinze Clark (on left) was the Golden Paw Award Humanitarian of the Year honoree. She has four mini Schnauzer rescues and also does work in helping to preserve the health of our oceans, therefore affecting the health of all things living beneath them.
